Lane Focus Group Moderation
TMS staff led focus groups convened as part of the Los Angeles County
High Occupancy Vehicle Lane Performance Study.
Downtown Parking and Transportation Management
Strategies Workshop
TMS collaborated with the University of South Florida to develop and deliver
a workshop on using parking and transportation management techniques to
improve access to downtowns. The workshop has been staged in Tampa, Philadelphia,
Washington, DC, Atlanta, and Salt Lake City.
Employee
Transportation Coordinator Training
TMS has developed and delivered numerous training programs for Employee
Transportation programs including development of curriculum, materials,
and statewide training program structure. TMS has created strategic training
plans, training programs for local jurisdictions, employee transportation
coordinators, and instructors that provide training to local representatives.
Statewide training programs have been created for New Jersey, Wisconsin,
and Washington.
New Jersey
TMS developed and delivered a comprehensive training program for staff
that managed the Employer Trip Reduction program, Plan Certifiers, and
Instructors that trained ETCs. This program trained 200 Certifiers, 30
State employees, and 50 Instructors.
Washington
TMS developed the curriculum, materials, and program structure for the
State of Washingtons Commuter Trip Reduction Law. This included
development of a strategic training plan, training programs for local
jurisdictions that review employer plans, employee transportation coordinators
that provide services to commuters and employers, and instructors that
provide training to local representatives.
Wisconsin
Under contract from the State of Wisconsin, TMS worked as part of a consulting
team to develop and deliver a multi-audience training program to help
implement new trip reduction regulations.
Texas
TMS created a training curriculum to offer Certification Training for
ETCs in the Houston-Galveston area. This three day program provided ETCs
with a thorough understanding of the trip reduction regulation, techniques
for developing an effective commute management program, guidance on implementation,
practical suggestions for working with management and employees, and methods
for monitoring activities and performance.
