
Irvine Business Complex Transportation Management
Plan
The Irvine Business Complex (IBC), a 2,800-acre area with mixed land
uses located at the western edge of the City of Irvine in central Orange
County, is home to approximately 1,700 businesses, 74,000 employees,
and 2,000 residents. TMS prepared a Transportation Management Plan (TMP)
for the IBC to ensure that travel demand does not exceed trip generation
rates used in the analysis of environmental effects of the areas
development plan.
Strategic Business Plan for the Kansas City
Regional Rideshare Program
The Mid-America Regional Council engaged TMS to recommend strategies
for the regional ridesharing program. The strategic planning process
included examining conditions in the Kansas City that affect the demand
for ridesharing services, assessing organizational practices of MARC
and the RIDESHARE Program, assessing interests of Stakeholders, identifying
target audiences, identifying responsibilities for marketing commuter
transportation among agencies in Kansas City, and assessing strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities, and obstacles.

Transportation
Management Plan for Mission Bay
TMS developed a transportation management plan for Mission Bay, a 300-acre
mixed-use real estate project located in downtown San Francisco that
will serve 20,000 employees, and 11,000 residents, and user of the nearly
3.0 million square of office space, 3.0 million square feet of research
& development space, 1.0 million square feet of retail, and 500,000
square feet of entertainment space that will be developed over the next
ten
years.
The transportation plan includes shuttle services that will circulate
throughout the site and to transportation facilities, an active commute
alternatives marketing program, financial incentive for employees to
not drive, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and services to be offered
by a Transportation Management Association.
Allocation of Vehicle Trip/Emission Funds
in Contra Costa County
The Contra Costa Transportation Authority retained TMS to develop policies
and procedures to guide the investment of local vehicle trip and emission
reduction funds.

Highway Reconstruction Mitigation
Program: Pittsburgh, PA
TMS assessed the capabilities of the regional ridesharing program in
Pittsburgh, PA and researched local conditions affecting the demand
for travel in developing measures to mitigate the effects of a major
highway reconstruction program.
